In the heart of a Piedmontese town, a chef with Sicilian origins meets two expert restaurateurs; one from Apulia, and the other one from Campania. Each of them linked to their own roots, but now closed to Casale Monferrato tradition too. And more recently the daughter-in-law, a lively young woman and capable manager, joins the family, bringing with her flavors and scents of Middle East.
After all, Marechiaro is all here: different cultures, mutual respect and true love for Italian cuisine, with its extraordinary features.

HOW MANY STORIES FOR A PIZZA!

 

Vincenzo chooses products, decides pairings and discovers excellent ingredients, under the watchful eyes of Antonietta, who takes care of waiting service, explains recipes and recommends courses.

Pizza baked in our “tegamino” pan, for example, comes from a family lunch in memory of a grandmother. The longtime pizza chef takes care of every detail before serving the final product, using Alta cucina Cirio tomato sauce, approved by Italian Chef association, or bocconcino mozzarella from Apulia. The choice for oil? The one made just 3 km far from home.

For fresh fish, the Chef prefers seasonal species, fished, never farmed, possibly from Mediterranean sea.

Taste Italian Felicetti pasta, Acquerello rice, unique in the world for its particular structure, the flour of Quaglia mill, chosen after a careful tasting, and Baruffaldi gorgonzola, recognized as one of the best ever.  

And then again the surprising selection of wines and the list of Gilac Piedmontese craft beers. And desserts? All strictly homemade, and some of our invention.
